Death. The final enemy. But for the Christian…simply a changing room that takes us into glory.
To live is Christ. To die is Gain.
Chuck Smith was the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, California and one of the key founders in the Jesus movement of the 1960’s and 1970’s. He now knows this reality of true life abundant and I am overcome with a sense of the beauty and majesty of it all.
For the Christian there is a hope and if you never know how to die you can never truly know how to live.
Every moment of every day should be viewed in the perspective of eternity and as a result we live differently.
We live with hope.
We live with reckless abandonment.
We live with a confident security of our destiny.
We live with JOY.
Do you ever think about eternity and whether this life is better or if it is better to “be with Christ?” Chuck has met his maker and nothing else matters but to see God face to face and be told, “well done.”
